I am an engineer at heart with an undergrad in Industrial Engineering and Masters in Structural Engineering and an innate tendency towards entrepreneurship.  I am a licensed Civil Engineer and have worked in the construction industry for nearly 20 years. I have enjoyed participating in the industry from many different angles: as a structural engineer, as R&D lead for a construction products manufacturer, founder of two international sales and engineering companies in China and Taiwan, VP of Engineering at a Fortune 100 power tool manufacturer and most recently founder and CEO at a construction software startup.

I have been very lucky to have many diverse roles in my career and have learned how to be an engineer, a manager, an innovator, and an operator.  I enjoy building both teams and products and love to be in hands-on, fast paced environments where I can aggressively pair the Lean Startup "build, measure, learn" mentality with my Industrial Engineering background of Scientific Management.

I have an amazing family, wonderful wife, two incredible kids and too many hobbies.  We love to spend time skiing and hiking in the mountains, fishing, playing music together in the family band, all types of bar games (think foosball, darts and pool) and of course building things together from legos to robots to home renovations.  I am also an avid squash player and always up for a hit if you are in town!
